Audience Research

Our target audience for our short film is 16-24. This age group is the main cinema audience and the sort of themes in our film are relevant to this age group. Also, the type of humor would be suitable and understood for this age group.

I think our film would target a similar audience to that of 'The Inbetweeners', 'The Office' and the 'American Pie' films. the elements of our film which create this genre of film are the characters we are using, the style of camerawork, music, the narrative and even the editing. We are following some conventions which the audience should identify but will also be disregarding some of the conventions.
